During 2005 and 2006 Jan Beavis and her husband Nick worked hard planting wild flowers to naturalise the bank at the entrance to the town opposite the former Blue Ball Inn. It is an ongoing project and more flowers are introduced each year. Bev Gale co-ordinates Friends of Sidmouth in Bloom (which seems to now be known as ‘The Bloomers!) Terry Yorke,is our official photographer turning out in all weather to record events for us. All members of the committee are active in planting, tidying and litter picking around the town. We have a work parties that help the committee members with various projects around the town

It is not just the committee members but also the public who help in watering, planting and keeping the town tidy. The Sid Vale Association have bought 3 fields for our town. They are normally known as 'Margaret's Meadow' which is a wild life haven.

Last year the Lower Knapp (which has its own page) was 'adopted' as our Wildlife project for 2007

2008

sees the purchase of another 12 new self-watering planters.

Our present relies on fundraising which includes raffles, quizzes, coffee mornings, special evenings hosted by committee members -to name but a few of the things we get up to. Sponsorship also plays a large part in our fundraising. Details of this can be found on our Sponsors' page. just click on the link.

Without the hard work and generosity of the inhabitants and businesses of our town, we would become part of the town's 'Past' history. Please help us if you wish to keep Sidmouth Blooming through the coming years.
