In our public gardens it is easy to see the winter displays disappear and summer plants take their place.
Throughout the town plants thrive even in a heat wave, due to regular watering .Often we are not aware of how it happens or the work that goes into it. In the slideshow are a few glimpses of some of the work that our Parks Department do to keep Sidmouth's Public Spaces 'in Bloom'. With global warming annual bedding is slowly giving way to sustainable planting. The town's visitors flock back year upon year to see our floral displays so a balance must at all times be kept to keep our visitors returning.
