A Regency Property was left to the town in 1904 and was used daily for various events including Adult Education classes. The friends of Church House as it was then faced a £1m restoration. The town was delighted that they were granted Heritage Lottery Funding towards the restoration.
Sidmouth in Bloom added a little colour to the 2006 and2007 fundraising by supplying planters and plants. the planters are now being planted by the friends of Kenneaway House. It was in 2008 and that redevelopment started.
There is a new name
Kennaway House
There hadn't been links to the Church for a long time so it was time for a new name. The Building which was once home to Sidmouth's first MP, Sir John Kennaway will in future be known as Kennaway House;
Now open, art exibations and art groups are just 2 of the many uses of the newly opened Kennaway House which also caters for weddings, functions, adult education, just to mention a few.
Just like Sidmouth in Bloom Kennerway house is very involved with the people of the town
Now open but fundraising still continues until all is paid for.
