'Manstone School' (Sidmouth Infants School) has A wildlife garden and raised flower beds where this year they grew spring bulbs provided by Sidmouth in Bloom. Adjoining the the main school is is Appletree Pre-School. Their courtyard garden is maturing with a meandering path through 'smelly' plants which ate edible The play area has a sand pit and a small covered area. It is hoped that part of it may be covered so that children can still use it when it the weather is poor so that they can benefit from the fresh air.

The mural which was painted by a local artist and was paid for by one of the parents with an exchange of labour for the paint and the artist's work fits in well now that the plants are growing tall.
